Dr. Melissa J. Aubert is licensed by the Louisiana State Board of Examiners of Psychologists (LSBEP) in both Clinical Neuropsychology and general Clinical Psychology.  She provides comprehensive and individualized evaluation and treatment services for children, adolescents, and adults.  With a strong background in early childhood development and pediatric neuropsychology, Dr. Aubert conducts neuropsychological evaluations for children as young as 3 years of age and developmental evaluations for infants and toddlers (birth through 3 years of age).

Dr. Aubert also provides individual and family psychotherapy for children, adolescents, and adults.  Her therapeutic approach is ecclectic, drawing primarily on Cognitive-Behavioral, Interpersonal, and Humanistic treatment modalities.  Dr. Aubert provides treatment that is tailored to meet individualized needs in a warm, friendly, and safe environment. 

Dr. Aubert earned a PhD in Clinical Psychology with a specialization in Neuropsychology from Nova Southeastern University.  She completed clinical practica throughout the South Florida region and an Internship at the renowned University of Miami School of Medicine Mailman Center for Child Development. 

As a native of the New Orleans area, Dr. Aubert returned to this region after completing her graduate studies and has been in private practice in Metairie, Louisiana since 2005.
